VERICUT Composite Programming (VCP)
VCP legge le superfici CAD e le informazioni sul contorno degli strati e aggiunge materiale in accordo con gli standard e le specifiche della lavorazione. I percorsi per la posa sono poi uniti per formare specifiche sequenze di stratificazione e vengono quindi tradotti in programmi NC per macchine per la posa automatica di materie composito.
VERICUT Composite Simulation (VCS)
VCS legge modelli CAD e programmi NC, originati sia da VCP che da altre applicazioni che generano percorsi per la posa di composito, e simula la sequenza dei percorsi NC in una macchina virtuale. Il materiale è depositato sullo stampo secondo le istruzioni del programma NC, in un ambiente di simulazione ivrtuale. Il materiale applicato con la simulazione può essere misurato ed ispezionato, per garantire che il programma NC segua i requisiti e gli standard della lavorazione. Automaticamente si può ottenere una documentazione con i risultati della simulazione e con informazioni statistiche.

Electroimpact Selects CGTech to Provide Machine Independent AFP Programming Software

Programming of AFP machines is critical. Traditionally, the machine tool vendor has delivered AFP programming systems. However machine tool vendors do not generally excel at the type of programming required for an AFP programming system, or at providing updates for new operating systems, CAD software or computing hardware platforms.
Spirit AeroSystems has recognized the need for programming software to be provided by an industry recognized software provider as part of a standard suite of regularly updated and maintained software. The delivery of machines by competent machine tool vendors, with the delivery of programming systems by competent software vendors, mirrors practices in the mature metal removal industry. In that industry machine tool vendors by and large no longer attempt to compete with far more competent programming companies like Mastercam, Gibbs and others.
Electroimpact recognized CGTech, with their Vericut Suite of software, as being very capable to provide machine independent AFP programming software. For over 2 years Electroimpact has been in a non-exclusive partnership with CGTech to develop AFP programming software called the "Vericut Composite Programming and Simulation Suite". Major aircraft manufacturers and their partners have tested this programming software over the last 2 years, and it will be used by Spirit Aerosystems to program these new AFP machines. The addition of a mathematically rigorous programming system has been demonstrated to eliminate end placement errors sometimes seen on machine tool manufacturer-developed programming systems. These programming system errors appear most frequently in tow convergence areas. They occur less frequently at ply boundaries.
Airbus is selling so well that the demand to increase build rate has never been higher. BAE Systems (Filton, UK) needed a simple way to improve throughput - it found the answer in VERICUT.

Flying shrapnel from shattered cutting tools and components is avoided by using VERICUT to test student programs before they are run on NC machines.
The NC programmers at Ingersoll also rely on the simulation software to prevent mistakes when programming complex, five-axis parts.
After creating the NC programs in Mastercam, they began simulating the machining process in VERICUT by simulating the G-code data. There often can be a difference between the motion as programmed and the code after it's run through the post processor
After selecting VERICUT for third-party verification, each NC programmer attended two days of basic training where they experienced first-hand the type of results they could expect to achieve.
The program simulates milling, drilling, turning, wire EDM, and mill/turn machining operations using both G-codes and CAM output.
VERICUT provides simulation capabilities for the all the 3-5 axis and wire EDM parts, with focused control over the orientation of our 5-axis machine tool including the cutters used on that machine.
The inspection probe is created as a tool in VERICUT so the complete in- cycle gauging sequence is checked for collisions.
The bottom was machined first. This effort took about 24 hours from start to finish. By using VERICUT software from CGTech, Elliot was able to test the NC program for any problems before it was ever cut on the machine.
